Mid this year Kitoka was appointed as the Equity Bank Tanzania, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR.
Equity Bank is one of the most innovative banks in Africa and leading its Tanzania’s subsidiary, there is a lot of expectations for higher performance from the very seasoned banker.
Before joining Equity Bank last May, she was the CRDB’s Deputy Managing Director/COO for over 8 years.
A strong business development professional and a graduate of Harvard Business School, she previously worked in the Bank of Tanzania (Central Bank), for 9 years and later on, she worked as a commercial banker for over 13 years in CRDB Bank Plc.
Esther is an Independent Director at the Comprehensive Community Based Rehabilitation in Tanzania (CCBRT). She joined Equity in May 2020.
She holds a Master of Commerce in Banking and Business Information System from the University Of Sydney, Australia and a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting from the University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
She is also a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Directorship from the Institute of Directors UK and an Advanced Management Programme from Harvard Business School.
